Job boards are the most effective recruitment method, expert claims

In the economic downturn firms should consider using job boards to recruit new workers as they are far more effective than other methods, it has been suggested.Alex Farrell, managing director of the IT Job Board, said that over the next year job boards should look to take advantage of the financial strain some companies may be under.
This is because many will be looking to cut costs and a new recruitment method may be one way to do this.
Mr Farrell added: "Job boards are one of the most cost effective methods of recruiting, especially in comparison with the traditional media and recruitment agencies."
Recent research from the IT Job Board found that many recruiters in the industry still have confidence in the current market.
This was supported by the latest REC IT and Communications Demand and Supply in the IT Sector report, which revealed that there was an increase in the number of IT workers in the second and third quarters of the year.
