Mums make ideal employees due to their flexibility, good morale and ability to negotiate, an expert has advised.

Provided employers are willing to offer them a good work-life balance working mums could offer businesses "enormous" advantages, recruiters HR GO claimed.

A survey conducted by WorkingMums.co.uk recently found that 73 per cent of mothers felt their main obstacle to returning to work was the shortage of flexible jobs available.

Jack Parkinson, chairman of HR GO, said: "Firstly recruitment should always be about finding the right person for the job. There are many advantages to employers of taking on mums that could give them a competitive edge."

He further commented that mums have the potential to be great performers and highly motivated employees, onrec.com reports.
